Jones & Swartz PLLC is a Boise law firm that focuses on civil litigation. Each of the attorneys at our Boise law firm tries and litigates civil lawsuits for both plaintiffs and defendants. We do not put together real estate deals, handle securities offerings, draft contracts, or prepare pension plans. But we have litigated disputes arising out of real estate deals gone awry, securities violations, legal questions under ERISA, breaches of contract, and a wide variety of other civil cases. We are in the litigation business in order to best serve our clients.
All we do is civil litigation; often involving complex contractual disputes, civil rights violations, serious personal injury claims and birth injuries. We also provide legal services for cases involving professional negligence and malpractice; employment discrimination; employment contracts, including non-compete agreements and wage disputes; etc. Our clients range from individuals with legal problems in Boise to international enterprises.

- In April 2012, the Payette County Sheriff's Office assisted Jones & Swartz in a putting on a successful public auction of seized Club 7 property. Thank you to all the attendants and participants! In August 2011, Jones & Swartz attorney Joy M. Vega received a jury verdict for her client that included $70,000 in punitive damages against her former employer, Club 7, in Fruitland, Idaho who had illegally retaliated against the employee by firing her because she filed an employment discrimination complaint with the Idaho Human Rights Commission. Idaho law protects employees who file valid employment discrimination claims!

Employment Discrimination
A favorable verdict for three plaintiffs in a sexual harassment and assault case with a half million dollar settlement in their favor on appeal.
Breach of Contract
A declaratory judgment for our client in a contract case in Idaho state court saving our client $75 million.

Civil Rights Violation
A pre-suit settlement on behalf of plaintiffs against an Idaho city and its police department resulted in a six-figure payment to Jones & Swartz' clients. Plaintiffs' alleged that the City and its police department violated confidentiality policies and imposed a state-created danger upon the plaintiffs' lives and liberties.
Personal Injury:
Recovery of nearly a quarter-million dollars for injuries sustained by a tenant as a result of Carbon Monoxide poisoning caused by the landlord's faulty furnace repair.
Personal Injury:
Combined settlement for over $365,000 to plaintiff couple who were injured in a motor vehicle accident.
Civil Rights:
A six-figure settlement and a public written apology signed by all five defendants (all members of an Idaho county board of commissioners, the county planning and zoning administrator, and the county prosecutor) for violating the plaintiffs' property rights in a conditional use permit by cancelling the permit without due process of law.
